Why do we celebrate Halloween

Saints, martyrs, loved ones and all known dead people are remembered on the Halloween Day Feast in many countries. The tradition has pagan roots, this festival is considered as a solely Christian Holiday

People celebrate it by decorating the venue with pumpkins, wearing horrifying costumes, lighting bonfires playing pranks and visiting the haunted places. The graves are decorated with the candle and prayers are chanted for the dead.

Probably started in Ireland, the festival is celebrated at the end of harvesting duration which indicates the starting of darker half of the year.

It is the celebration of death and life, started 2000 years ago, by Celts in Ireland on their new year at that time to blur out the boundaries between the deadly world and real world.

The Halloween reached the land of America as Play Parties, being hosted for the treats and horror. The children go to nearby homes in order to get candies as the reward for their Halloween costumes.
