Why do we celebrate Birthdays?
Celebrating
birthdays is the most common partying cause on which each person shares his/her
interest, irrespective of the religions, creeds, castes and countries.
On
this special day, the ancient people used to thank their creator by hosting
feasts for the creator, relatives, and natives while in modern time, people
consider it a day of utter celebration by all possible means.
For
some, it’s the self-centered act while others consider it a day to celebrate
with others.
This
celebration was started by Egyptians ages back when Crowning Events of Pharaohs
were the days of grand celebration, marking the birth of their God. The moon-shaped
cakes, made of oil, grated cheese and honey, were offered to those
newly-elected gods with glowing candles around it. Till that date, birthdays
were celebrated for males only.
The
modern cakes were invented for the children in the 18th century and candles
were considered to lighten up the upcoming brightened years of their lives. It
resulted in the current celebrations tactic formation of the birthdays.
